Dr. Doug Adams, O.D., graduated from the New England College of Optometry in 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Idaho. Focusing strongly on comprehensive eye care, he strives to foster meaningful relationships with his patients while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to support their overall well-being. As a Caldwell native, Dr. Adams is passionate about giving back to his community and looks forward to building lasting connections with his patients.
Dr. Adams provides thorough eye care and values the importance of maintaining a holistic approach. His goal is to ensure every patient receives personalized care tailored to their needs. At his clinics in Caldwell and Nampa, he offers a range of services aimed at enhancing vision and eye health.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Adams enjoys being actively involved in his community. He is committed to local initiatives and takes pride in contributing to the well-being of his hometown.
Dr. Stephen Farris, O.D., completed his undergraduate studies at Seattle Pacific University before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 2003. With a broad range of expertise, Dr. Farris specializes in dry eye, ocular disease, surgical co-management, pediatrics, and contact lenses. He serves patients across Nampa, Caldwell, and Middleton, providing comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.
A member of the American Optometric Association and the Idaho Optometric Physicians, Dr. Farris is committed to advancing eye care practices and staying current with the latest developments in optometry. His professional approach ensures that patients receive high-quality care and effective treatments.
In his free time, Dr. Farris enjoys the great outdoors, spending time with his family, taking part in church activities, and exploring his musical interests. He is fluent in Spanish, which enhances his ability to connect with a diverse patient population.
Dr. Candice Galvan-Shubin, O.D., earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of California at Santa Cruz and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California Optometry in 2008. She practices at the Caldwell Medicaid Pediatrics and Nampa Medicaid Pediatrics clinics, where she focuses on pediatrics, ocular disease, contact lenses, and dry eye treatment.
Dr. Galvan-Shubin is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Idaho Optometric Physicians. Her dedication to providing specialized care and her enthusiasm for optometry contribute to her strong reputation in the field.
When she's not at work, Dr. Galvan-Shubin loves exploring the outdoors, reading, and engaging in church activities. She thrives on competition with friends and family, and enjoys taking on new challenges in both her personal and professional life.
Dr. Joel Hernandez, O.D., completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at Illinois College of Optometry in 2017, following a Bachelor of Science degree from The College of Idaho in 2012. He practices in Caldwell and Middleton, where he provides advanced eye care through collaborative practice. Dr. Hernandez aims to ensure positive outcomes for his patients through effective communication and high-quality care.
As a Caldwell native, Dr. Hernandez is enthusiastic about connecting with his local community and delivering exceptional eye care. His focus is on creating strong relationships with patients to support their eye health and overall well-being.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Hernandez enjoys engaging with his community and looks forward to contributing positively to the lives of those he serves.
Dr. Cadence Brunzlick, O.D., earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry and her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Originally from Antigo, Wisconsin, she practices in Caldwell and Middleton, where she provides thorough eye exams and acute eye care services.
Dr. Brunzlick is dedicated to maintaining strong relationships with her patients and their families. Her hobbies include figure skating and coaching, hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding, reflecting her active and engaging lifestyle.
Dr. Kendon Seamons earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho and his Doctor of Optometry from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry.
His previous experience includes a group OD/OMD practice in Franklin, Tennessee where he focused on pre and post-operative care for refractive and cataract surgery. He also worked at the Indian Health Services in Bethel, Alaska and surrounding villages where his emphasis was in ocular disease and trauma.
Dr. Seamons has always been inspired to make the world a better place near and far, and has used his expertise to provide eyecare to many under-served communities. He has collaborated with various Lions and Rotary club chapters to combine efforts with SVOSH International, DOCARE International, and FUDEM to both lead and participate in mission trips throughout the Americas: Mexico, Haiti, Guatemala and El Salvador.
Growing up on a farm in Malad, Idaho instilled a passion and appreciation for agriculture and the outdoors as he participated in 4-H, FFA, local church organizations, wrestling, rodeo, and auto mechanics. He now enjoys spending time with his wife and 5 children and looks forward to many new adventures on this side of the state.

Dr. William Black, O.D., established Family Eyecare Specialists in 1994 and holds a Bachelor of Visual Science and Doctor of Optometry with Distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry, obtained in 1992. Practicing in Nampa, Caldwell, and Middleton, Dr. Black specializes in pediatrics, ocular disease, contact lenses, dry eye, and surgical co-management.
An active member of the American Optometric Association and the Idaho Optometric Physicians, Dr. Black has also served as a national contact lens speaker and facilitator for Alcon Vision. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys traveling, hot yoga, social hours, golfing, and spending quality time with his wife Abby, and their two daughters- and son-in-law. Dr. Black has had the opportunity to provide eye care services in Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands.
